As I practice being more grateful every day, I realize how truly small I am.
Nothing will take you to a place of gratitude faster than realizing how large the world is and how much has gone into it.
This weekend, as you make plans to go out and enjoy having Monday off work, remember to be grateful.
That is the point of Memorial Day... to realize how small we are to the great amount of sacrifice that has been given.
On that, each of us together create this huge country. We are all in one boat, all contributing as a member of a team.
So, while you should be humbled, don't be discouraged.
Each small person fighting for America mattered, made a difference, and contributed to the large picture.
That is what matters, not forgetting your small and the meaning of life is larger than you, but at the same time, going out and remembering that what you do today will contribute to the world.
It really is an incredible feeling to come to terms with.
Make sure what you do each day matters and moves you forward, because someone out there is fighting for your freedom to do so.
Thank you to all the soldiers past, present, and future that have fought for our freedom.
