This week is my older sister Marinas birthday.
Honestly there is a lot to be said for having a sibling.
They are true blessings.
It is funny because family is something I think we forget to appreciate. I think we forget to appreciate our family because we get used to them always being in our lives. We have this mental thought that they are stuck with us and that’s just how it is, so we forget to remember how valuable they are.
Without Marina I wouldn’t be who I am today.
I wouldn't have learned as many life lessons, I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun as a kid, and I would never have spent my trip to Virginia in 6th grade only speaking in Pig Latin.
Siblings make life fun, even when they wildly piss you off in a way no one else can. Siblings are just there, and it feels nice to know that.
Even when we forget to realize how are lucky to have them.
So, thank you Marina for being my sister, I plan to have you around for a long long time, and it is awfully nice to be reminded of that. I am glad I have you.
