Today at church I realized something in the Gospel.
Today’s gospel was about the blind man asking Jesus to have pity on him.
He was blind and could not see, so he was left to the streets.
Although, he wanted to see, and he was calling to Jesus for help.
Then Jesus said, "what do you want me to do for you?" and the man replied, "master I want to see".
Then, Jesus gave him his sight and said, "go your way; your faith has saved you".
I realized today how often we are the blind man. We are so desperate to see, constantly looking for answers to all our problems in the world. We are trying to solve them on our own, grasp the solution from the world, and running around in the darkness.
When at the end of the day, all we need to do is ask. We need to ask to see, and trust that God will show us the way.
He will give us our sight, all we need is faith, and the will to not give up.
Ask and you shall receive.
